Dopo il recente annuncio del Vertex 460A, OCZ (ora OCZ Storage Solutions) presenta un nuovo SSD rivolto questa volta alla fascia enterprise; si tratta del Saber 1000, unità a Stato Solido che mantiene però il formato SATA da 2,5" e in realtà non sembra differire per specifiche dall'ultimo Vertex mostrato qualche giorno fa.
L'OCZ Saber 1000 infatti monta un controller proprietario Barefoot 3, accoppiato a Memorie NAND Toshiba MLC a 19nm di ultima generazione; la differenza sostanziale pare essere il firmware, appositamente ottimizzato per garantire buone e costanti Sustained I/O Performance.
Il drive sarà venduto in tagli da 240, 480 e 960 GB e supporta tra l'altro la funzionalità Power Failure Management Plus; al momento l'azienda non ha parlato di prezzi, per ulteriori info vi rimandiamo quindi a quesot link.
