Kingston ha presentato ufficialmente la sua ultima linea di SSD pensata per i device ultra-thin e in generale per tutti i sistemi che supportano lo standard mSATA. Si tratta degli SSD mS200, unità che oltre a essere caratterizzate da dimensioni compatte (pari a 50.88 x 30 millimetri), permettono di avere un buon transfer-rate e decenti performance I/O.
L'azienda propone una soluzione di fascia mainstream come del resto si evince dalla presenza di un controller LSI-SandForce SF-2241/2281. L'interfaccia sfrutta lo standard SATA 6 Gbps e offre una scritturasequenziale massima di 550-530 MB/s in lettura-scrittura con picchi di 86000 IOPS, in base al modello.
L'utente potrà scegliere tra 5 modelli con capacità da 30 a 480 Gigabyte, il tutto con supporto TRIM, SMART, Intel SRT e AES a 128 bit. Kingston attuamente non ha parlato di prezzi, aspettiamo quindi la disponibilità effettiva sul mercato italiano.
