Kingston SSDnow, debutta l'SSD KC300 con controller LSI-SandForce

Kingston amplia ulteriormente la propria famiglia di Solid State Disk della serie SSDnow con il KC300, unità basata su controller LSI-SandForce SF-2281 e destinato a diverse tipologie di utenza, da quella business, a quella destop per arrivare ai sistemi mobile. L'unità ha il classico formato da 2,5 pollici con uno spessore di 7 millimetri e supporta le tecnologie SMART, DuraWrite, Data Integrity Protection, RAISE.


Per quanto riguarda le performance, sfruttando l'interfaccia SATA 6 Gbps, il KC300 riesce a raggiungere i 525 MB/s in lettura e i 500 MB/s in scrittura, il tutto con picchi di 73,000/ 32,000 IOPS per il modello di punta da 480 GB. Kingston, che garantisce l'SSD a vita, distribuirà l'SSD anche in tagli da 60, 120, e 240 GB. Per il momento non conosciamo il prezzo ma si tratta di aspettare qualche giorno in modo che il prodotto arrivi sul mercato italiano.
